The Teachings

12 Keys to Freedom - An Excerpt

One evening after being clean for about a week, that “thing” happened. My mouth started watering, my gut was in knots like I had just taken a laxative (symptom of a drug addict in the midst of a craving), and my heart was palpitating. I was ravenous for just one more hit – one last party.

The voice of sanity was screaming in my head, “don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it.” I knew that once I started, once the monster was out of the cage, no matter how badly I wanted to stop, the binge would not be over until “the monster” was done having its way with me. Maybe this time, it would finish me off once and for all. The hunger was like a red hot poker in my eyes, blinding me utterly. I knew that where I ended up was entirely out of my control.

And it was out of my control, as I headed out the door to get high...just one more time.”

Resting In Oneness

Resting in Oneness - what does that mean exactly?

Well, I had no idea what that meant - until I became utterly exhausted trying to figure out every nook and cranny of my life - and was finally willing to learn something new: to rest in the awareness that God is all there is.

 That in short:

There is only one power, one presence and one life - there's nothing to oppose it and nothing for it to oppose.  It just IS, and it is only Good.

Now I wasn't raised believing that, of course. Most of us weren't.

I was raised to believe in two powers - a power of good and a power of evil.  If something bad happened to me, I would pray to God (the God out there somewhere) to help me overcome the bad, and to please heal whatever dis-ease I was experiencing.  It appeared that sometimes God would, and sometimes God wouldn't, depending on how "perfect" and deserving I was on that day.

Forgiveness - The Path To Peace and Prosperity

I've had some insights on the relationship between Forgiveness and Prosperity that I'd like to share with you.  So here goes:

The traditional concept of forgiveness is based on the idea that you have been wronged and are willing to pardon those who have wronged you.

And that's actually a really good thing - having a willingness to give a pass to someone who has hurt you.

But my thought is that this doesn't really address the root of the issue that caused the problem in the first place. I am suggesting that forgiveness is bigger than a contribution to someone else. I'm saying that it can be used as a vital tool for our own transformation. Because if we are tuned to a different frequency, we don't take the brunt of the hurt in the first place. Personally, I think that's what Jesus was talking about.

Keys To Abundant Living

What is Abundant Living?

Is it about an abundant overflow of money and material wealth?

Or could it be the awareness, faith and manifestation of something Infinite, loving, friendly, all-present, all-power, as well as all-abundant?

Most of us - through no fault of our own - have inadvertently embodied a belief about this power from early childhood passed down through generations.  The belief, even if we're not conscious of it, is in a presence and power that is judgemental, moody, withholding and unavailable.  He's keeping a list, and checking it twice...

I share with my clients that even if we are not aware of those beliefs, if we take an honest look at some specific areas in our lives, we will see what we really believe.
